The truly comfortable part this time isn’t that it dropped hard, but that after entering the position, I wasn’t washed out by a fake rebound. During the repeated intraday whipsaws, $OPN kept watching for pullbacks—there were pullback moves every time—but every time price approached the upper area, it was pushed back down again. With trading volume on the low side, the buy side never formed a continuous relay. I knew then it wasn’t got backbone.

When the price came to the 0.1710 area, I followed my plan and went long, looking for weak rebound strength and suppression at the high end—not guessing the direction on feel. After that, OPN fell back to 0.0672. The current short position profit is +2920.45%—this bite of meat is being eaten very smoothly.

Now I’ll take 80% off the table first, and keep the remaining 20% under observation. The protection level has already moved toward the cost basis. If it can still drop, let the profit run on its own. If a rebound happens, I won’t stubbornly fight it either—keep the position size lighter, and my mindset won’t get dragged around by a single wave of volatility.

Don’t grind yourself down in choppy action until you lose patience, while also trying to “win back dignity” in a one-way move. If you’ve missed a position, don’t chase it hard. Wait for the next wave’s signal before acting. Being flat is not a crime—opening positions wildly is the mistake.
