After I just finished reading the bearish news, many people are still waiting for a bounce, but I feel like the setup here is increasingly starting to look like a path laid out for the shorts. $TRUMP was pushed up a few times at the high end, but there’s never been continuous follow-through. Whenever the price gets near the top, it gets pushed back down—the lack of strength in the bounce is very obvious.

When the intraday dump happened, I set up a long position around 1.681. At the time, the guidance was simple: don’t get tricked by a brief red candle; if volume can’t keep up, once the sell pressure is released, the pullback will be faster than you’d expect. Now 1.638 has already given the confirmation—ROI +181.5%. This trade has worked out very smoothly.

Take the bulk first and put it in the pocket—close 80% first. The remaining 20% will keep being monitored, with the protection level moved to around the cost basis. If it keeps dropping, let it run. If it suddenly snaps back upward, I won’t let the profits turn into something uncomfortable again.

It’s better to miss a move than to catch a falling knife after a sharp selloff. Profits shouldn’t swell too aggressively, and drawdowns shouldn’t be unbearable. The market isn’t short of opportunities—what it lacks is patience. I’ll wait for the next shot until the structure is clear before acting.
