Bears are going wild! Gold plunged another 100 points intraday; every rebound is a shorting window

Intraday gold on the 15-minute timeframe saw a one-way downtrend. It successively broke through multiple key supports, then in the evening further accelerated downward to test the 4040 level’s low point. After that, only a small oversold rebound/repair appeared. The entire day saw a significant drop, with the market’s pace dominated by the bears throughout.

Market expectations for Fed rate cuts cooled again, and the US dollar index rebounded strongly and rose, directly pressuring gold from the pricing side. At the same time, global risk appetite picked up, safe-haven funds continued to leave the precious metals market, and combined with earlier long-position profit-taking concentrated to exit, multiple layers of sell pressure erupted in unison, jointly driving gold into this one-way pullback move.

On the 15-minute cycle, price continued to move lower along the lower BOLL band. Short-term moving averages formed a complete bearish alignment, and the rebound suppression effect is extremely strong; after the MACD green histogram expanded in volume, it narrowed slightly, and there is a need for a short-term oversold repair.

Short near 4060-4080, target 4040 and 4000
