《感慨一下人生選擇》
Brothers, hello everyone. I’m trader Zhu Yidan. Before I know it, a few more days have passed again. In the last one or two weeks, I took my family on a trip to Qingdao for 5–6 days. I算 it and it came out to just over 8,000 RMB. Converted into USDT, it’s only a bit over 1,000. Thinking about the money I lost—my heart is just bleeding.
Recently, I’ve finally stopped losing so much. In the middle, I actually made 8–9 thousand USDT, but I never changed my mindset and didn’t move on. My positions were just left there, and I didn’t manage them. I’ve been thinking nonstop about my plans for the future. The current market is still extremely hard to trade. When I try to use trading to turn things around, the timing isn’t mature yet. For now, I’ll focus on staying alive and not losing money.
Today, someone who surprised me suddenly contacted me. We’d cut ties about 3–4 months ago because I kept pushing him to pay back the money, and we had a simple exchange of pleasantries. His goal was still to find me to help him bridge the gap because his recent losses have been pretty brutal. I didn’t have spare money to lend him. That evening, we met in person. We untied the knot from the past, and in the end we’re all back on good terms.
After meeting and chatting with him, I honestly felt quite a bit. He’s two years older than me, and when we were the same age, he was also extremely outstanding. At his peak, he could make 3–4 million RMB in a single year doing real-world business. His daily life was really smooth and carefree. The reason he ended up in today’s situation is simply one word: “betting.”
Two years ago, he and one of our mutual friends played online gambling—sports betting and Baccarat—and even went to Macau to gamble in person. He dug a big pit for himself. Not only did his savings go down the drain, but he also owed over a million RMB in external debts. Since then, he’s been living hand-to-mouth, patching one wall while another crumbles, never secure—until today. Instead, his capital chain kept tightening, and in the end he had no choice but to come clean to his family.
Although there’s a part of the story where he met the wrong people, his own limitations in judgment meant he couldn’t recognize at the time that gambling would ruin him. As for his current situation, I’m not trying to feel smug. On the contrary, it makes me more vigilant and self-alert. In fact, doing contracts and traditional gambling really do seem to have a lot in common at times. Facing the huge losses in the first half of this year, the pressure in my heart has also been pretty heavy.
I originally thought I could take a leap to the top, but I didn’t manage risk properly. Now my capital is nowhere near what it was. The more this happens, the more I need to be cautious. I need to figure out how to more steadily achieve my goals. Life choices really do matter more than effort.
Let’s share this and encourage each other. Hope we still have a chance to meet at the peak one day!
