Deep Tide TechFlow news: On July 23, with support from a small number of bipartisan Republicans, the U.S. House of Representatives passed, for the second time, the Iran “War Powers Act” resolution, calling on Trump to stop the war against Iran. On that day, the House roll-call vote result was 214 in favor and 208 against. Four Republican members of the House voted in favor of the resolution together with Democrats.

Earlier in June this year, the House had passed a similar resolution. This time as well, four Republican members voted in favor. This action has strong symbolic significance, but it also highlights how unpopular the Iran conflict is, as well as the increasingly heightened concerns among some Republican members—who may face strong opposition in the midterm congressional elections just a few months later.
