MATIC has now been upgraded to POL. Its price is around 0.078. It has fallen more than 90% from its all-time high of 1.29—it's a very brutal drop.

This week’s sell-off has been a bit sharp: it’s down about 5% so far. Looking over a longer one-month window, it’s still slightly up, rising by less than 3%. This suggests a pattern of first pumping and then getting dumped back. Over the past 24 hours, the price hasn’t moved much: the high is 0.0796 and the low is 0.0781, with a narrow trading range.

A more-than-90% drop is fairly extreme among more mainstream projects. It indicates the market has never really treated it favorably; even the renaming and token replacement hasn’t managed to lift the price.

The circulating supply is basically the entire total supply, and there aren’t many new tokens coming later. So sell pressure isn’t the main contradiction. The key is whether new money is willing to come in.

At this level, if it can hold the 0.078 range and not break lower again, it will likely keep grinding at the bottom. If you want to buy the dip, you can watch around here, but you should be prepared for it to grind for quite a long time. For shorting, chasing a short at this point has a generally poor cost-effectiveness—after all, it has already fallen deeply. If there’s really going to be any recovery, it may depend on whether there are concrete, real positive catalysts later. #matic $MATIC
