#夏日创作营 A well-known trader: Bitcoin has completed a five-wave correction, and the structure suggests a bottom may already be in place
Renowned trader Killa posted that Bitcoin’s bear markets typically complete a five-wave correction and form two key highs.
The first high often occurs during the first major rally after the top—what the market broadly calls the “complacency high” signaling that the bull market has returned—after which prices usually continue to probe lower to make new lows. He pointed out that similar structures appeared in the 2014, 2022, and 2026 cycles. After the complacency high forms, the market typically sees a “dead cat bounce,” establishing a temporary bottom; as market sentiment deteriorates and short positions become concentrated, a short squeeze then drives the price upward, and the final bottom is usually formed after the second important retest. Killa believes that, currently, BTC has already swept the bottom formed by the “dead cat bounce” and completed a five-wave correction structure similar to past cycles.
From a structural perspective, the corrective wave has ended and the low may already be in place. However, he remains cautious about the timing cycle. In previous bear markets, it typically took about 365 days to form the final bottom, while if this round’s low has already appeared, it would have taken only about 260 days—around 100 days earlier than historical cycles. He still holds a 50-50 view, but compared with seeing a clear move to make new lower lows again, the likelihood of forming higher lows in the future is greater. $BTC
