Many people ask me: What altcoins should I buy now, and when should I start planning a position?
My answer has always been: Don’t rush to find a coin—start by looking at the gainers list.
Why?
Because the gainers list is the most direct reflection of where capital is flowing.
When the gainers list starts showing two or three consecutive familiar major altcoins—like RWA, AI, DeFi, or leading public-chain heavyweights rotating upward—it means capital has begun moving from BTC into altcoins, and overall risk appetite is picking back up.
At this point, looking for coins that haven’t started yet but belong to the same sector often gives you a higher chance of success.
Instead of waiting until every coin has already pumped and then chasing the breakout.
But obviously, we are clearly not in that situation right now.
In the recent gainers list, most of the gains have been small-cap tokens with relatively low trading volume; their sustainability and sector-wide coordination are both relatively weak.
Truly identifiable major altcoins haven’t formed a sustained cycle of rotation.
This indicates that capital is still fairly cautious—more like testing in specific areas than launching a full-scale push.
So instead of racking your brain trying to find the next altcoin that turns things around, it’s better to wait patiently for the market to send the signal.
The market never starts early because you’re anxious, but it becomes easier for you to buy in the wrong place when you’re anxious.
The real opportunity isn’t when nobody is pumping and you start buying recklessly—it’s when capital begins to spread out and you follow the flow to position. #夏日创作营
