The screen refresh rate everyone cares about has been solved in iPhone 17—now it seems even Apple itself doesn’t think there’s much to talk about with the base model.


The next upgrade direction is basically just swapping in a “crippled” version of the chip, upgrading Siri AI, and changing the back cover design (and the design most likely won’t change much).
Most importantly, the price goes up by another one or two thousand. No—an iPhone base model in the 6000–7000 range means this is basically the former Pro-tier’s market position.
Don’t hide stuff like Changxin... you really need to add some production capacity to cool down the memory situation....
