It’s normal that Iran won’t back down. The US sanctions everyone every day and still expects them to obey obediently? As for this round of threats, beyond causing oil prices to fluctuate, there’s really nothing new.

I think the US is saying such tough words mainly to show its domestic voters. If it really wanted to take action, it would have already done so. Iran is also quite defiant; it just comes down to who blinks first.

Paying a higher price every night? That sounds pretty scary, but if you think about it carefully, Iran isn’t like it hasn’t weathered sanctions before. With inflation running high in the United States itself, under this kind of extreme pressure, it’s still not certain who will break first.
