After a pullback in the gold early session, although there was a slight rebound, the intraday high of 4140 was not effectively broken. Profit-taking selling pressure above is clearly weighing on the gold price.

In the afternoon, we still expect a downward (southbound) move. Friends doing medium- to long-term trades who entered short positions near 4140 in the morning can continue to hold them. For those who have not entered, watch the 4120 area for resistance in the afternoon; if gold rebounds to around 4120, you can enter again to set up your positions! $XAUUSD

If I can get an opportunity for a rebound, I’m planning to add one more short order, holding for the medium to long term.

This southbound trend is pretty clear. Keep holding short positions for the medium-to-long term; don’t rush to take profit.

Friends who chased longs in the morning session may be a bit uncomfortable—there’s too much sell pressure above. It’s still more prudent to short in line with the trend.
