🔄 BTC and ETH ETF flows diverge: Grayscale outflows hedge BlackRock inflows, with higher concentration in Ethereum
Yesterday, the U.S. Bitcoin spot ETF saw net inflows of $69.1 million, but Grayscale’s GBTC recorded net outflows of $38.3 million, nearly offsetting half of BlackRock’s IBIT net inflow of $38.8 million. Ethereum spot ETFs had net inflows of $72.7 million, with BlackRock’s ETHA alone accounting for $53.5 million, or 73%, far higher concentration than Bitcoin.
Money-flow data shows the market’s preference for Ethereum ETFs is more concentrated in a single product, while Bitcoin ETFs show clear internal capital reallocation—from Grayscale to BlackRock, Fidelity, and other lower-cost products. This kind of structural divergence may affect the distribution of liquidity and price elasticity going forward.
Does the concentration of Ethereum ETFs mean the market’s pricing of ETH relies more on BlackRock’s channel capabilities? When will the “switching/rotation” effect within Bitcoin ETFs weaken?
