Midday News

Capital flows are shifting from Bitcoin to Ethereum spot ETFs. Since July, net inflows to Bitcoin spot ETFs have been highly volatile: near the start of the month, there was a daily net outflow of almost $300 million; on the 16th, it turned to a net inflow of $107.7 million; on the 21st, it reached $226.8 million. However, yesterday net inflows have already fallen back to $69.10 million. Over the same period, Ethereum spot ETFs showed a more stable pattern of net inflows: yesterday’s $72.70 million net inflow already surpassed Bitcoin, and was mainly contributed by BlackRock’s ETHA ($53.50 million) and Fidelity’s FETH ($19.20 million), while net flows into the other products were all zero. This indicates that traditional asset-management giants’ capital-raising effect on Ethereum spot ETFs is rapidly concentrating, while retail capital in Bitcoin spot ETFs may already be temporarily saturated. $BTC

BlackRock and Fidelity’s data is typical—traditional capital entering the market clearly favors Ethereum more, and BTC’s volatility has scared off retail investors.

It seems institutions are handling the ETH ETF in a steadier way—consistently pulling in fresh inflows every day—while the Bitcoin side’s net inflows that jump around really do look like “hot money” doing churn (doing T trades), and long-term capital has already moved its position elsewhere. The narrative shift signal this round is clearly obvious.

Large holders are starting to shift to Ethereum; Bitcoin retail investors are indeed running out of steam.
