When the screen is filled with green candles, the easiest thing is for someone to rush to bottom-fish—and it’s also the easiest for someone to forget how to close out short positions. When the price dumped during the session, I first looked at how $TRUMP responded on the pullback and found that the rebounds stayed weak all the way through. After it fell, the bids didn’t come back quickly, and the shorts never exited.

Earlier, TRUMP surged around 2.056 with relatively low volume. The price looked like it was being pushed higher, but in reality nobody was willing to keep taking the orders. At the time, I reminded everyone to wait for the sell pressure to release, and then carried out my plan to open a long—I was waiting for the realization that comes after price grinds under resistance at high levels.

Now the price has reached 1.593, and the floating profit shows +1597.87%. The answer is already laid out on the chart. First, close 80% to lock in the results; protect the remaining 80% with your cost. If it keeps dipping, let the profit extend. Even if it bounces back, I won’t give back the room I’ve already taken.

Risk control comes first—that’s called being rational. Cutting losses after you’ve already lost—that’s called “dying like a brave warrior with a broken wrist.” Chasing the drop is just as dangerous—if you didn’t catch it, don’t rush to add more tickets. The market isn’t short of opportunities; what it lacks is patience.
