In response to allegations that “Moon of Darkness trained Kimi K3 by distilling Anthropic’s Fable,” an employee of Moon of Darkness named Randy said, “Fable was publicly released on July 1, and K3 went live on July 15. The team trained a brand-new, cutting-edge model in just 15 days—on par with a Guinness World Records record.”
Earlier, Michael Kratsios, the U.S. White House official in charge of technology policy, accused Moon of Darkness of training Kimi K3 by distilling Anthropic’s Fable.
