Judging from the information revealed at Galaxy Unpacked, Samsung seems determined to make digital asset payments a standard feature. Native support for stablecoins effectively opens a crypto channel for all Samsung users, and combined with a traditional bank card points system as a foundation, this hybrid model—if it works—could push other mobile phone manufacturers to move faster into the space. I’m quite looking forward to the real user experience.

Teaming up with Barclays and Visa to roll out credit cards, and then tying stablecoin payments into it—feels like Samsung is making its next big move, with an increasingly complete ecosystem loop. The only question is when domestic players in China can catch up.
