Sell when the crowd is roaring; buy when no one is paying attention. After BTC fell below $60k, many people started calling out $30k and $40k. Panic, however, made most people too afraid to open positions, but when you look back another 3–6 months later, that stretch where most people felt ignored and pessimistic may very well be the interim bottom.


The same is true for US stocks. When the market was noisy and lively, I tested the waters with a small position because I had already expected the AI sector could be adjusted at any time—and the subsequent price action validated this caution.
Including this year going all-in and getting cut in half, revisiting all of this is really just realizing that investing isn’t that hard: control your desires and greed, stay rational at all times, wait for the best opportunity to show up, and manage your position sizing to leave room for error. When the chance appears, you still have the funds, the rationality, and the courage.
