A whale just dumped all the final 1,000 BTC from its wallet, officially ending a 12-year journey of holding and making profits.

Looking back at the history of this wallet, you really have to admire it. Twelve years ago, people spent around $1.66 million to accumulate the full 5,000 BTC—figuring the cost basis per coin was only around $87.
Not until the beginning of 2024 did he start selling slowly into the market, not rushing. Today, he has already pulled in more than $435 million.
Spending $1.6 million to get back $435 million, the account grew more than 262 times. The numbers are tempting, for sure, but think about it: holding a huge pile of assets through so many bull-and-bear cycles, enduring how many market shakeouts over 12 years without ever touching a bit of it with personal hands takes what kind of grit.
If you had that amount of money, what would you do? Stay in the market and look for new opportunities, or pull everything out…
