AT&T rises more than 6%, hitting a new high in over a month; Q2 wireless customer growth beats expectations

Golden Finance reported that on July 22, AT&T (T.US) rose more than 6% in early trading, reaching a high of $23.63, its highest level since June 4. On the news front, AT&T’s second-quarter revenue grew 2.3% year over year to $31.6 billion. Adjusted earnings per share came in at $0.65, above the market’s expected $0.59. During the period, the telecom operator added 432k wireless phone users, significantly higher than the market’s expected 325k. The company reiterated its outlook for adjusted EPS of $2.25 to $2.35 for fiscal year 2026, with free cash flow of more than $18 billion.
