Activists from the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and Students' Federation of India (SFI) were detained in Coimbatore while protesting against the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The protesters, numbering nearly 40, marched from the railway station to the BSNL office, demanding the abolition of NEET and the resignation of the Union Education Minister.
