Wu Says learned that Strive CEO Matt Cole posted an announcement saying the company will expand its long-term support for the Bitcoin ecosystem. In addition to continuing to fund the Bitcoin Policy Institute, it will also start supporting the open-source development organization Brink, in order to fund developers of Bitcoin Core and other key infrastructure. Strive said that institutions benefiting from Bitcoin development should bear responsibility for maintaining the ecosystem’s long-term health, but the support will not come with any requirements that affect protocol governance or technical roadmaps.
