Telegram founder Pavel Durov announced the launch of a native non-custodial wallet, Gram Wallet.
The launch is planned for the summer of the current (2026) year.
Access to the built-in service will be available to more than 1 billion users of the platform.
Cryptocurrency transfers will be instant and without fees.
The wallet will be non-custodial (self-custodial) — private keys and control over assets will remain with the users.
In Telegram, there is already a built-in Crypto Wallet, but the current service by default operates as custodial and works through a bot. The new project $GRAM Wallet is intended to be a more decentralized solution.
