The market moves too fast; sometimes, without even noticing, you step on the wrong rhythm. Getting temporarily stuck is very common. The most damaging thing in trading is never the price going up and down—it’s you losing your composure first: once you get stuck, you simply leave it alone; when you see it drop, you add more without thinking; or you keep flipping and doing random opposite moves, winding yourself in. The more you mess around, the bigger the hole becomes.

Don’t keep mentally tugging yourself back and forth, and don’t panic and clear out everything you have. First, map out a few key price zones. No matter whether you’re bullish or bearish, there are relatively rational ways to deal with it. Calmly sort out your positions, steady your pace, and slowly work to get your unrealized losses back.
