Another easy-to-overlook issue is that if it is truly quickly added to an index, it could indeed cause a short-term mismatch in capital flows. Passive funds must buy, which doesn’t mean they think the price is cheap. In history, many popular IPOs have seen this: buying rush at the start of trading → passive funds take over → the lock-up period ends → volatility increases. So I think after $SPCX , you should watch three things: whether trading volume shows a clear increase after the unlock.
