I just went through my wallet records and found that a cross-chain operation and some DEX interactions from a few months ago weren’t saved with screenshots or tx hashes. If I really have to file my taxes myself by the end of the year, I’ll probably lose my mind. A lot of audits and project teams actually emphasize the consensus of “wait for confirmation,” but in reality, on-chain token transfers and interactions also require more patience and a habit of keeping records. After all, it’s just more annoying to patch screenshots later. The recent post-incident review of stolen cross-chain bridges has made me feel even more strongly that, in the usual process, we should take a few more screenshots based on on-chain timestamps and make sure to note the contract addresses. To put it plainly: save enough original data—don’t wait until the end and rely on memory or browser history. Forget it, I won’t talk about it for now; I’ll keep filling in my notes.
