I only wrote one sentence in my notes: **The larger your asset base is, the more “inconvenient” your security needs to be.**

Today I chatted with a friend about hardware wallets, multisig, and social recovery—it’s actually pretty interesting. With the recent upgrade of public chains, a lot of people are wondering whether ecosystem projects will migrate; I personally think that before switching chains, it’s more practical to first figure out how to manage your wallet. For small retail users like us, a hardware wallet with mnemonic phrase backup is basically enough. But once your assets reach a certain level, multisig and social recovery are like adding a few extra locks to a safe—more troublesome to operate, but you feel at ease. Anyway, that’s how I think: first understand clearly how much you have, then decide which kind of “lock” to use—don’t blindly follow the trend. As for my assets… forget it, let’s not discuss that for now. Anyway, I’ve got both a hardware wallet and social recovery set up—just for peace of mind.
