Just switched back and forth between a few L2s a bit, and the gas fees aren’t that different, but the confirmation speed really is. To be honest, posting limit orders on the mainnet is pretty expensive. Still, some ecosystem projects tempt me so much, and I don’t want to chase the price, so I just have to hold back. Earlier, when a certain chain upgraded and went offline, a lot of people wondered whether the project would rug pull. But over the last couple of days, it quietly came back again. As for me—an old stubborn type—I still think it’s better to pay a few extra bucks on mainnet and get confirmations that are faster and more solid. Limit orders are like cultivation; you wait patiently until the gas is stable before taking the next step. Otherwise, if slippage eats up your fees, that’s the real kind of pain.
