When the funding rate turns negative like that, I usually just lie flat. It’s not that I don’t want to collect that long-side subsidy—it’s that I’m afraid that the moment I step in, I’ll end up as a counterparty position that gets targeted and detonated. Anyway, after getting rugged twice, my first reaction whenever I see extreme funding rates is, “Let’s see if anyone is even more desperate than me to rush in and hand it over.” 😂 Lately I’ve been looking into all that stuff with miners and sequencers, and it feels like retail traders don’t even have the right to a fair queue—order flow gets chewed up and swallowed. Honestly, in an environment like this, taking a counterparty position? I’d rather squat outside and watch the show.
