When I feel an itch to chase a pump, I usually ask myself one thing first: is this position being driven by information, or is it just pure emotion getting out of hand? Either way, after getting rugged twice, whenever I hear someone else shout “sure to go up,” I automatically give a cold laugh. Especially this round—meme mania, celebrities calling out trades, and attention cycling around—experienced players all say, don’t grab the last baton. I know that too, but it’s just my hands acting up. I’m used to testing with a small amount; I’d rather lose a vault fee than follow the mood with a big position. To put it bluntly, I don’t need other people to understand why I’m so cautious—I just want to be responsible for my own wallet. In the end, if tragedy strikes, I’ll have to carry it myself; I might as well calm down first.
