Recently I “dawdled” on Gate and checked out a few projects. I went through their GitHub and audit reports, and it really feels like… reading the Book of Tien Shu, or like you’re hunting for hidden easter eggs. Anyway, don’t panic if you’re a newbie—here’s my rough DIY method: start with the repo’s README to see whether it’s still being updated or has been idle for half a year, check whether the code commit history has any breaks, and identify which audit firm it is (don’t let it be some random, fly-by-night workshop). Also pay attention to the multisig address—who is signing, and whether the threshold is 2/3 or 5/8. Put simply, if there are a few unfamiliar small accounts mixed in, then be careful about the liquidity.

During that period when the funding rates got extremely extreme, everyone in the group was arguing: “Is this about to reverse, or keep squeezing the bubble?” Anyway, I don’t know either, so I just take a casual look and try a couple times. If I can’t hold up, I’ll just pull out. The on-chain data looks lively, but in practice you still have to follow your own instincts—so that’s it for now.
