A classic old joke about options buyers and sellers: one type of trader chops every time, another type harvests every time. Options buyers always feel like they can precisely hit the timing, smile as they enter—yet more often than not, they can’t even catch the last taillight of the time value. Sellers, on the other hand, are quiet; they lean on Theta, watch the days pass one by one, and the premium naturally ends up in their pocket. Honestly, the number of people around me who can really escape by hitting the timing is shockingly small—most are ground down into skeletons by time.

Recently, on-chain data tools have been questioned for being “laggy.” I actually think the data itself isn’t wrong—there’s just someone who always wants to use the past to calculate the future. Anyway, in a crowded market, I won’t mess around with options. It’s too easy to get the direction right and still lose to time. Better to just be a quiet retail trader, squatting in the pool.
