I saw someone hyping AI agents for automated trading and copy-trading, and it just made me laugh. On social media, those over-the-top “whales entering” stories—you click into the on-chain data and, more often than not, it’s someone opening hedged positions rather than actually building a position. You think it’s copy-trading that makes you rich, but in reality you’re just serving as an exit for someone else’s liquidity.

Anyway, I’ve seen too many people: they see a whale address dumping money into a certain pool, then their brain goes on fire and they follow—only to find out the other side is using LPs to hedge spot risk, and you’re the one who keeps staring at the address. On-chain interactions and safety matter more than anything. Gas fees get burned faster than KOL promotion copy, but whether the security audit passed or not—who cares? First figure out what the whale is actually doing. Don’t copy-trade yourself into becoming a bagholder. I choose to look at the pool parameters first, then we talk about conviction.
