Honestly, I’m fed up—I spent last night staring at that position that’s down forty percent, turning it over in my mind again and again and still couldn’t sleep. When it finally bounced back by three percentage points, I didn’t feel anything at all. That’s just how the human brain is—so cruel. Even though I clearly know that unrealized profit and loss is only a numbers game, the hole of losses feels like there’s something under the bed with a hold on me, refusing to let go. The teams behind those on-chain game projects don’t understand this psychology at all. They just keep printing money to pay salaries, stuffing “work studios” with people to pump up volume. By the time inflation smashes prices right through the floor, retail traders can’t even be bothered to cut their losses (bet you they’ll quietly curse each other in the middle of the night). Anyway, I’ve learned my lesson now: either set a stop-loss properly and don’t keep checking it, or just don’t open a position in the first place—so I don’t go looking for something that’ll make me uncomfortable.
