I just saw a screenshot showing a bridge cross-chain transfer succeeded, with the red-dot notification popping up super fast—then I clicked in and saw the transaction was still pending. The popup first said “funds received.” I’m really fed up with these people—do they think “trust” is just clicking a confirmation? From IBC to message passing, that whole bunch of verification nodes, relayers, and oracles—what part of it isn’t a black hole? Once you’ve authorized it, who knows whether the other side quietly changed your balance on their chain.
And now these on-chain data tools are being hyped like crazy. The label system claims it can track addresses, but when I tried a new scammer’s wallet, it was immediately marked “unknown” and also delayed by two hours. Sure, lag is lag—but this is straight-up misdirection. You’d be better off trusting my dog. In any case, don’t think cross-chain is just a matter of approving and everything’s fine—first think about whether all the components you’re trusting have been swapped out for “malicious versions.”
