I just saw a phishing site—the address bar domain had a typo by one letter, and the interface was copied so closely it looked exactly like the real one. I thought, those people really are willing to spend money; they probably didn’t even read the whitepaper carefully before rushing in.
Back to wallet security: I have a habit myself—**I never touch my mnemonic phrase on a keyboard, and I never take screenshots.** Even if I write it on paper, I tuck it inside a book after writing it; at the very least, I don’t leave it on the desktop. Signature approvals have to be even more careful, especially those pop-ups that ask you to “approve all tokens.” That’s basically putting your hand into a pit. I usually test new projects with small amounts first, confirm everything is fine, then consider the rest.
Lately, the whole issue of miners’ revenue—retail users complaining about unfair ordering and MEV running rampant—I’m pretty annoyed too. After all, we’re not whales. I can only stay more vigilant and make sure I don’t sign contracts I shouldn’t by mistake.
By the way, what’s a way to avoid impulsively placing orders? I usually clear the hotkeys first, then take 10 minutes to cool down before acting. Otherwise, if my hand slips, real money is gone.
