I just saw news again about a cross-chain bridge getting stolen, and the group chat is still shouting “wait for confirmation”—but honestly, it’s the same logic as managing your own position: confirm the information first, don’t rush to charge in. In my wallet, I only have 0.01 ETH on the testnet, and I was still stupidly waiting for half a day for confirmation.
A lot of people can’t hold their spot positions, and their futures contracts get liquidated—put simply, they didn’t figure out what they actually want to do with each and every trade. Let me explain to a friend: if you have $100 and you buy something worth $50 with it, leaving $50 behind—that’s called position sizing. But if you insist on borrowing $150 to buy something worth $300, that’s gambling.
My rules are simple: before opening a position, think it through first—if it drops by 30%, can I still sleep well? If yes, then enter; if not, then make the size smaller. I’d rather earn less than be woken up in the middle of the night by liquidation alert messages.
