Just watched a random “shitcoin” get jammed right after I entered, and I initially thought it was just bad luck. Then I reviewed my own process and it kicked back in—I followed that tx and traced the on-chain relationships. Turns out the block builder had created a bundle and inserted a position that they then shorted themselves right after. They even helped themselves to a cut of my gas. I can only say: I lost, but at least I figured it out.
Honestly, retail users don’t need to go deep into how bundles are constructed or how they’re ordered, but at minimum you should know this thing exists. If you don’t know what it is, you won’t know why you’re getting jammed, why your transaction fails for no obvious reason, or why you set your slippage high enough yet still get picked off. Anyway, before I enter now, I’ll take a look at whether that miner or builder has a habit of pulling little tricks. Just one more layer of defense.
Lately it’s been wall-to-wall unlock calendars and staking unlocks—everyone’s panicking, and every day people are calculating who’s going to dump. Personally, though, I think instead of staring at those macro selling-pressure worries all day, you should look more at who the real counterparties on your chain actually are. Who’s eating your liquidity? Who’s playing along with you? Once you figure that out, it’s more useful than counting those days. That’s it for now.
