Seeing lots of projects pushing the “parallelism and sharding” narrative—it’s pretty lively. In the past, I’d get excited and flip through whitepapers looking for technical highlights; now I’m more used to first checking how assets enter and exit—no matter how pretty the promises are, the on-chain execution and the exit path are the real deal.

Recently, data tools and labeling systems have been called “lagging” and even “misleading,” but I think tools are just support—the core is still your own judgment. Anyway, when I watch a project, first I check whether its asset backing is clear, and where the liquidity is when it comes time to exit. If we’re being blunt, the more over-promising sentences and the more annotations there are, the more immune you become to it.

The key is not to be led astray by the narrative—see how it ultimately gets implemented, especially whether the assets you hold can be safely withdrawn.
