I just came across a post discussing IBC, and it feels like cross-chain, at the end of the day, is really a problem of trust: relayers, light clients, validator signatures—every step can become a vulnerability. Some people think IBC is safer than ordinary bridges, but to me, no matter how good the protocol design is, if execution misses even one confirmation point, it’s like having a stone in your mind that hasn’t landed. Like during the recent upgrade of the XX chain, when everyone was speculating whether ecosystem projects might take the opportunity to move to other chains, I went and checked first whether my cross-chain assets were locked inside a bridge—because if, during maintenance, messages get delayed or packets are dropped, that would be a mess. Anyway, that’s my type: I just want something slow but solid. I’d rather wait an extra ten minutes than skip any step’s additional signature confirmations.
