Damn it—once people start talking about DAO voting, it really pisses me off. On the surface, everyone thinks it’s democratic governance; but in reality, the stuff stuffed into the proposals either incentivizes you to pick a side, or silently reshapes the power structure. Look at what happened recently with cross-chain bridges being stolen and oracle errors—aren’t many projects still sitting there saying “awaiting confirmation”? Bottom line: the voting mechanism itself is rewarding mindless followers, not the people who truly understand the code and the chains of incentives. I just can’t figure out how many people actually checked the contract permissions in the proposal before voting. Anyway, I’ve seen a DAO where it claimed to distribute community dividends, but the proposal secretly included proxy contract upgrade permissions—pretty clearly leaving a backdoor for big holders. Forget it, let’s not talk about this; the more I say, the more furious I get.
