The advantage of traditional blockchain transactions is that anyone can see transaction records, but the drawback is that transaction intentions can be revealed early.
GRVT has chosen a different path: it does not publish all the details of orders, but instead confirms state changes of the system through cryptographic (encryption) proofs. This approach protects traders and simultaneously changes the way market control works.
When the order book is not fully visible to external observers, users find it difficult to directly verify the sequence of order matching, partially executed trades, and the process of order cancellations. Even if the platform ultimately provides a proof that the state is correct, ordinary users will still ask:
Does the proof only confirm that the overall balances are correct,
or does it also guarantee that the order matching rules and the logic of calculations have been preserved?
This determines how broad the scope of a “verifiable computation” actually is.
If a zero-knowledge proof (Zero-Knowledge Proof) only confirms that the final change in assets is correct, then it does not automatically prove that each order was processed in a fair order.
@grvt_io must clearly define which actions are governed by cryptographic proofs, and which are still carried out through the platform’s operational system.
A more mature and transparent approach would be to publish:
the scope of the proofs,
the version of the order matching rules,
and the verification receipt (receipt) intended for each user.
External observers do not necessarily need to see the details of users’ positions, but they should be able to be convinced that the rules were not changed during the process. Similarly, users should be able to verify that their instructions were included in the processing flow in the correct order.
#grvt-ի ’s privacy architecture is not the opposite of transparency. It shifts the center of oversight from “viewing source data” to “verifying execution of rules.”
The success of this approach does not depend on how much information is hidden, but on whether the remaining proofs are sufficient for the platform to enforce its rules.
