Bitcoin rises 3% to $64,300, with falling oil prices helping the rebound
After oil prices fell below $72, Bitcoin rose by about 3% to $64,300, boosted by risk appetite as US-Iran talks progressed; during the prior two days of volatility, US military action toward Iran pushed WTI close to $75 before dropping to $62,500. Despite ceasefire rumors, oil prices continued to weaken under the influence of negotiation-related news, and WTI’s weekly gain could be more than 4%. June employment increased by only 57,000, weakening the Federal Reserve’s rate-cut outlook while boosting market expectations.
