SWIFT confirms 17 banks are preparing to pilot crypto-style cross-border payments.

Coin World reports that SWIFT has confirmed 17 banks will launch pilot cross-border payments in a crypto style, using tokenized deposits on a new blockchain ledger to enable 24/7 transfers. SWIFT said its infrastructure covers more than 200 markets and moves funds equivalent to global GDP every 2 to 3 days.
