Woke up at 3 AM again, habitually grabbed my phone to check positions. The unrealized loss number felt like it was stuck on my face, still flashing even with my eyes closed. Actually, I set alarms when I'm in profit too, but I never wake up startled in the middle of the night—when I'm winning I sleep soundly, when I'm losing it's like something is left unclosed, dripping drop by drop.
Lately I've been analyzing a lot of those large on-chain transfers, and suddenly I realized something: everyone chasing "smart money" addresses is essentially afraid of missing out and afraid of making mistakes—it's the same as loss aversion. If others move and you don't, what if you miss the boat? But if you actually follow, you can't sleep either—it's torture in both directions.
My current approach is pretty stupid: I set my stop-loss orders before bed and throw my phone in the living room. It's not discipline; it's knowing I can't handle that red number glowing in the dark. I'll just keep doing this for now—anyway, don't make things hard on yourself.
