That trade which changed my perception is worth being seen.
In the crypto market, we often mistakenly think the gains from a bull run are due to our own ability. Reflecting on when I first entered the industry, I frequently made trades, used high leverage, and even during market frenzy, felt the impulse to take large positions or even go all-in quickly. At that time, every time the numbers on the screen jumped, my heartbeat would skip a beat, and I would fall into extreme anxiety and tension.
Until that one time, the market used a solid pin to thoroughly educate my blind confidence.
Position management and trading discipline are the most expensive and profound lessons the market has taught me.
That lesson of a margin call level made me realize: frequent all-in trading is not bravery, but extreme irresponsibility towards capital. In the crypto world, surviving longer is always more important than making quick profits.
Since then, I have completely changed my trading logic:
1. Strictly adhere to position management: Never let any single trade occupy most of the core assets. Always leave room for error.
2. Strictly follow the plan: Change the habit of “trading based on luck,” learn to use technical indicators to combine the left and right sides, and strictly set stop-loss and partial take-profit points. Keep the orders and stop-loss in place, and leave the rest to time, not anxiety.
3. Leverage platform ecology: Thanks to @Gate__Square for providing deep liquidity and rich trading tools (such as grid strategies and copy trading systems), allowing me to execute strategies more rationally instead of losing myself in emotional chasing and panic selling.
Now, I still respect the market, but I no longer panic. From a “gambler’s mentality” to “systematic trading,” this trade that changed my perception is my best coming-of-age gift.
