Don't let messages blind you: technological form is the true indicator!
This month, negative news has been coming out frequently, and a wave of "bad news" has been circulating in the market. Someone in the group has started to waver. I want to emphasize once again that technical patterns are the most important.
Looking back at the few tops and bottoms we've caught over the past two years, which ones were based on news? The 126,000 top escape, the 979 call to short, the 62,000 bottom... Which of these were driven by news? Quite the opposite, every time market sentiment is at its most euphoric or most panicked, the news is just adding fuel to the fire, while our technical patterns have already provided clear signals in advance.
What is news? It’s a tool in the hands of the big players, a common tactic media outlets use to harvest traffic, a reason retail investors chase highs and sell lows. And technical patterns are the real traces left by funds, the only "unchanging" thing we can rely on.
I do not deny the short-term impact of news, but remember: ultimately, all news will be reflected in the candlestick charts. Instead of chasing those ambiguous, lagging "news," it’s better to calm down and master the candlestick patterns.
Yesterday, I once again emphasized the importance of technical patterns. It’s not that news is completely unimportant; it’s to say that technical patterns are our only standard for judging rises and falls. Without this consensus, what’s the difference between us and those retail investors led around by the nose by news?
Starting today, I hope at least everyone in our group can do three things: First, when seeing news, ask yourself: does it already reflect in the pattern in advance? Second, spend 80% of your review time on charts and time relationships. Third, every trading decision must be based on technical evidence, not just "because a piece of news came out."
The market is never short of news; what’s lacking are people who can stay clear-headed amid the noise. We’ve called countless tops and bottoms correctly, not by luck, but by faith in technical patterns.
Let’s encourage each other!
