CryptoWorld News reports that Ripple’s senior executive David Schwartz said that the unstaking of XRP is expected to be completed around 2035. Community members asked him to compare Ripple’s monthly unstaking with the mining of Bitcoin’s last coin. Schwartz noted that it is almost impossible to predict the exact year, because Ripple’s operational needs may change over time. He emphasized that the reduction in Bitcoin’s supply has a direct impact on network security and operational incentives, while Ripple’s unstaking will not affect the XRP ledger’s consensus mechanism or security.

Bitcoin mining reaching a dead end is a matter for the consensus layer; XRP un-staking doesn't touch the security mechanism, so comparing the two is a bit like apples and oranges.

There are still more than ten years until 2035, take your time.

Schwartz is quite straightforward; operational needs will change, and hard predictions are meaningless.
