Recently, the whole “year-end declaration” thing really scared me. Normally, when I get excited and start trading memecoins, I’ll bounce back and forth with a dozen or so transactions—so when it’s finally time to reconcile my records, my mind goes completely blank… So now I use a dumb but effective method: every time I make a deposit or withdrawal, exchange coins, transfer across chains, or claim an airdrop, I also export a copy of the exchange’s statement and throw a link to the on-chain explorer into the same folder. The file name is just the date plus what I did. I also draw a wallet relationship diagram as well, so I don’t forget whose address is whose after a few months. I heard that some region is adding taxes again, and compliance is getting tighter too, which has made me even more cautious with deposits and withdrawals. To be blunt, I’m not afraid of losing money—I’m afraid of not being able to explain things clearly when questions come out of nowhere. That’s it for now—at least I won’t lose my mind by the end of the year.
