News: A critical vulnerability was discovered in Zcash's Orchard shielded pool, the network's newest privacy protocol.
The flaw could have allowed invalid shielded transactions to be accepted as valid, potentially enabling double-spending or the creation of counterfeit ZEC within Orchard.
No evidence of exploitation was found, and the issue was resolved through an emergency network upgrade.
