*Bitcoin (BTC), 100

Bitcoin is the world's first cryptocurrency, created by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009. Its goal is to be digital money without a central bank. Bitcoin operates on the blockchain, a transparent ledger system that cannot be altered. The total supply of BTC is only 21 million coins, making it scarce like digital gold. It can be obtained through mining or purchased on exchanges. Its price is highly volatile, capable of increasing by thousands of percent but also crashing in a single day. People use BTC for long-term investment, inflation hedging, and fast global transfers. Although often considered risky, Bitcoin remains the king of crypto with the largest market capitalization. Its principle: “Not your keys, not your coins.”
